Nicole Appleton has opened up about her heart-breaking split from Liam Gallagher in a reflective letter posted to her thousands of followers on Twitter.

The former All Saints star was devastated when Liam initiated divorce proceedings in August after it emerged that he had fathered a secret love child with a US journalist.
Having maintained a stoic silence in the months following their sudden split, Nicole has shared her thoughts in a reflective post on Boxing Day.

She writes: ‘2013 taught me: 1 – No matter how good you treat people there will always be people that are blind, take advantage of it, & regret it when it’s gone.
‘2 – You’re gonna get talked about, left out, used, and even lied to but you have to decide who’s worth the pain and who isn’t.

‘3 – Even the people you care about the most can walk out of your life. Basically 2013 taught me to be prepared for whatever life throws at you.’

The 39-year-old has since been flooded with positive messages from followers – amongst them close pal Myleene Klass, who was amongst the first to respond. 
‘2013 kicked you in the a***, 2014 will show you how kick a*** you are. The universe did you a massive favour. Promise.’
Nicole was stunned when Liam’s fling with New York Times music reporter Liza Ghorbani was exposed.
The journalist has since filed a £2 million lawsuit against Liam for child support after claiming she gave birth to their daughter Gemma – who bears a striking resemblance to Liam – in January.

New love: Liam is now dating Beady Eye PA Debbie Gwyther

According to Liza their affair began when she interviewed him for the newspaper in 2012 – with DNA tests reportedly confirming the Beady Eye front-man as the father of her child.
After news of the affair broke Liam moved out of the sprawling, £5 million home he shared with Nicole and their son Gene.
The 40-year-old now lives in a smaller, rented property with new lover Debbie Gwyther – a Beady Eye PA – close by.
Liam is also a parent to 14-year-old son Lennon from his first marriage to Patsy Kensit and 15-year-old daughter Molly, the result of a fling with singer Lisa Moorish.
