She is the rising star of this year's The X Factor, and he was the hit reality TV show's runner-up last year.
So
what better way to entertain the crowds who gathered for Bluewater
Shopping Centre's Christmas light switch on, than for Tamera Foster and
Jaheme Douglas to give a couple of show-stopping performances on stage.
The
pair looked delighted to be asked to sing before turning on the lights
alongside presenter Toby Anstis and, of course, Santa Claus at the Kent
venue on Friday.
Let there be light: Jahmene Douglas and Tamera
Foster pushed the red button turn on the Bluewater Christmas lights, in
Kent, on Friday
Looking trendy in an oversized tartan shirt, black vest top, worn skinny denim jeans and red velvet court shoes, 16-year-old Tamera made a heart shape with her hands before her much anticipated performance on stage.
She accessorised the look with
a collection of rather chunky gold junk jewellery pieces, including a
necklace, an oversized ring, a matching bracelet, a collection of gold
rings and a circular pendant anklet, whilst wearing dramatic plum
lipstick, smokey eyes, and keeping her newly-dyed blonde locks loose and
in subtle waves for the occasion.
On
Twitter the star indicated that she was clearly in a rush to reach the
venue at Greenhithe, Kent, as she told her followers: 'What a rush! Oh
on my way to blue water now!x'
Love: Tamera Foster makes a love heart with her hands as she stands on stage at Bluewater
Sources had said that she arrived around
an hour late to the event, however it appeared like the fans didn't seem
to mind, and neither did Tamera, who later tweeted: 'Had an amazing
night thank you @TweetBluewater Now for a lovely meal @ @jamieolivers
kitchen!'
Tamera, who was
put into the bottom two with Kingsland Road on last week's show, but was
saved by the judges is still one of the favourites to win the show, and
has even attracted a celebrity fan in none other than Rihanna.
According to the Daily Star, Rihanna said: 'I got sent a link of her
after she sang one of my songs at Boot Camp and I have been watching her
ever since.
Stars of the show: Tamera is a popular yet
controversial contestant on this year's X Factor, whilst Jahmene was an
incredibly liked runner-up from last year
'The shows need to produce a superstar every two or three
seasons to give them credibility, and she is already there in week five
or whatever it is.'
Meanwhile
Jahmene, 22, was tweeting far more regularly than Tamera about his
performance at the shopping centre, starting off the tirade with: 'On
my to the stage to perform at the Christmas lights switch on down here
at @tweetbluewater :-) woop woo excited !! #christmasishere'
After his performance he decided to thank his fans and Tamera for the poignant occasion and wrote:
'Thanks
to all the amazing people who came to the Xmas lights at
@tweetbluewater was great to finally meet @OfficialTamera :-) #beauitful
x'
All smiles: Tamera stood on stage in front of the crowds of people waiting for the lights to be switched on
Jahmene, who also turned on Regent
Street Christmas lights and Swindons's lights, looked great in a a
metallic suit jacket, black trousers, black patent brogues and a black
polo jumper.
He
accessorised with a large silver crucifix necklace and a snowflake-print
red and white Christmas scarf, whilst even growing his hair out into
ringlets since his shaven head look on The X Factor last year.
The
ever-loveable singer even wrote a special shout-out to his backing
choir on the evening, writing: 'Big thanks to the London community
gospel choir for singing "next it me" with me <3 love to you all
always @LCGCtweets incredible set! X'
Looking good: Tamera looked cool in his oversized check shirt, skinny jeans and velvet court shoes

He has set himself apart from the rest of his bandmates with his individually cool sense of style.
And Harry Styles looked every inch a fashion icon as he left ITV studios for Highgate Studios in London on Saturday.
The 19-year-old singer seemed dressed for the chilly weather, wearing a suede camel-coloured jacket with a sheepskin collar.
Like his name: Harry Styles arrives at Highgate Studios in London, wearing a casual but head-turning outfit
He wore a striped T-shirt underneath his coat, worn with tight skinny jeans and comfy black suede boots.
He
also wore his signature curly locks gelled in a quiff style while he

advised to take up ballet to help treat a back problem but he refused.

It was the moment every noughties girl had been waiting for, and McBusted certainly didn't disappoint.
Performing
for the first time as a super group on Friday night, Tom Fletcher,
Dougie Poynter, Danny Jones and Harry Jones of McFly joined James Bourne
and Matt Willis of Busted, to rock the socks off the BBC Children In
Need stage.
And they certainly did with a mash-up of each band's top songs, with a few synchronised dance moves to boot.
Scroll down for video
It's what I got to Children In Need for: McBusted perform for the first time on BBC One
First, the stage was set by
McFly who opened with their song It's All About You, where the band sung
a pared back version of the chorus before welcoming James and Matt to
the stage for Busted's Year 3000.
Five guitars and one drum set
rocked their way through the classic pop song before the boys lined up
and performed a can-can like routine as they began playing Air Hostess.
To
finish off the performance, McBusted then sang their most recent single
Shine A Light On her before closing to a raucous applause from the
studio audience, and no doubt their fans at home.
Mash-up: The super group sang songs from both McFly and Busted's back catalogue
Kicking things off: McFly began by singing It's All About you on Friday night
Mail Online caught up with the
band at The Hunger Games: Catching Fire premiere on Monday night, where
they couldn't wait to talk about their upcoming tour in April 2014.
'We're
going to tour and play Busted and McFly songs in one mammoth set list,'
Danny said, while James was quick to list the tracks he was looking
forward to playing.
'I want
to play Year 3000, and Who's David? and Sleeping With The Light On and
What I Go To School For and obviously 5 Colours In Her Hair,' he
excitedly said under the bright lights of Leicester Square.
But
they wouldn't be joined by Charlie Simpson who reportedly was paid 'a
six-figure sum' to relinquish all rights to the Busted name.
Together: Then James and Matt from Busted joined the group to sing Year 3000
Sick moves: The guitar-playing boys kicked their feet in unison for Air Hostess
Their comeback comes after a
number of noughties pop-bands have reunited, but Matt said it wasn't a
quick decision for them to team up again.
'To
be honest Busted have been offered quite a few things in the last five
years,' the husband of TV presenter Willis said, 'but they all just felt
a little bit gash. And we didn't want to do it if it wasn't f***ing
great. This seems great.'
Of
course, in their hiatus from performing teen-loving pop rock songs, a
few members of each band have taken part in a reality series or two.
'We're
the only band to have two I'm A Celebrity winners,' Tom said, but when
asked whether he would be manning up and heading into the jungle, he
replied: 'I'm manning the phone lines!'
'00s girl's dream: The reunion comes with a tour that kicks off in April 2014
Excited: James told Mail Online that he can't wait to sing Year 3000, Who's David and Five Colours In Her Hair
Mammoth set list: The super group will play each others' songs together for the stadium tour
Tom did get a touch of reality
experience when he briefly appeared with his brother-in-law Mario
Falcone in The Only Way Is Essex, while Harry Judd was the Strictly Come
Dancing champion in 2011.
And
although Dougie and Matt - who were crowned Kings of the Jungle in
separate series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! - didn't know
who was going into the Australian Outback when the show starts this
Sunday, Willis did have some advice for the new contestants.
'I
say if you're in there, eat everything, do everything, because you'll
regret it if you don't,' Matt told Mail Online. 'Like I'm really pleased
I ate the Kangaroos anus, I hold it with pride, I'd eat it again!

With more than 2.6million followers, former
Victoria's Secret Angel Miranda Kerr is one of the most active model's
on Instagram -- posting personal snaps, behind the scenes images and
professional shots daily.
But
one image in particular, which the 30-year-old posted on Wednesday, has
drawn more attention that usual; for all the wrong reasons.
Kerr's
fans have accused the model of Photoshopping her waist to appear
slimmer in the image, which shows her standing in the center of Doutzen
Kroes and Alessandra Ambrosio, smiling backstage at the 2012 Victoria's
Secret Fashion Show.
Spot the difference: Miranda Kerr's fans have
accused the model of
Photoshopping her waist in this image she posted on November 13, 2013
(left); she posted the original image in November 8, 2012 (right)
This year, although Kerr was reportedly still asked to walk in the show, she was unable
to attend due to commitments in Asia. So the 5ft 9in model posted the
year-old image with the caption: 'Sending love and best wishes to the
#vsangels from Japan xxx'.
Kerr had posted the original image, taken by a Vogue photographer backstage, in November last year -- just six months after Ms Ambrosio had given birth to a baby boy.
'Who is Miranda trying to fool with
Photoshop?' The Fashion Spot forum member CommanderTMugler asked .
This year, unable to attend the Victoria's
Secret fashion Show held on Wednesday, she posted the year-old image
with the caption: 'Sending love and best wishes to the #vsangels from
Japan xxx'
The 30-year-old former Victoria's Secret Angel
had posted the original image, taken backstage by a Vogue photographer,
in November last year
'That is not her waist, this is the
actual picture taken last year by Vogue of Alessandra, Doutzen and
Miranda backstage,' he wrote and posted a comparison between the
original shot and the version posted on Kerr’s Instagram.
Designer
Ange Langton shared her view of the image directly on Kerr's Instgram:
'@mirandakerr maybe address this image? It's been photoshopped very
obviously and it might be a good idea to communicate to your fans why it
has happened.'
One observant commenter even claims that Kerr has a history of Photoshopping her own Instagram images.
Australian-born Kerr, who has been featured on
the cover of magazines like Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, rose to
prominence in 2007 as one of the Victoria's Secret Angels (pictured,
November 7, 2012)
'I can't believe no one
else has commented on this yet! I noticed starting a while ago that her
Instagram photos have been Photoshopped to narrow her waist,' they
wrote. 'As if she needed it anyway. It's bizarre and totally
unnecessary. So disappointing!'
While
Kerr did not get back to MailOnline's request for comment, she has
since deleted the image from her Instagram and denied the Photoshop
claims.
'When I re-posted
the photo this week to support the girls I screen grabbed it off the
internet when I was working in Japan,' she wrote. 'I had no idea it was
photoshopped. All good intentions- sorry for the confusion and
congratulations to the girls for such a great show!'

Just six weeks ago she posted a touching picture of her cuddling her dog Joplin referring to him as her 'soulmate'.
Sadly Kelly Clarkson is now in mourning after the death of her beloved miniature labradoodle on Thursday.
The
31-year-old singer broke the sad news on Thursday evening as she
struggled through tears to perform at the Hard Rock Cafe for the
Musicians On Call benefit concert.
Her best friend: Kelly Clarkson is mourning the death of her dog Joplin who sadly passed away yesterday
Visibly teary eyed throughout the show
Kelly touchingly dedicated her final song of the night, 'Stronger' to
her beloved pup whom she adopted from a rescue shelter in 2011.
And
today the grieving singer shared the sad news with her fans on her
Twitter page posting a picture of Joplin who was clearly far more than
just a pet and more of a family member.
Emotional: The 31 year-old singer shared the sad news of Joplin's passing with fans on her Twitter page
Just last year the country star announced that the curly haired rescue pup was battling with some health issues.
At the time the Texas native had urged her fans to pray for the cute mutt's recovery, writing on her Facebook page "I
had the worst day yesterday because my little baby Joplin, one my dogs,
almost died and I was a wreck. He is now at a vet hospital and doing
better. Please say a prayer for him."
But sadly on Thursday, much to his famous owner's distress the black haired miniature labradoodle lost his battle with cancer.
The upsetting news will prove as somewhat as a low for Clarkson who has recently had much to celebrate.
Battle: Last year Kelly revealed that her beloved dog was battling cancer and sadly he succumbed to the illness on Thursday
The Grammy winner tied the knot with music manager Brandon Blackstock in October in an intimate ceremony in Tennessee.
The
blonde beauty has been outspoken about her desire to have a baby with
her new husband telling chat show host Jay Leno that she and her husband
were 'trying like rabbits'.
Kelly
is already stepmother to Brandon's two children from his previous
marriage but has said she would like to expand the family by having two
children of her own.
Hopefully
the new Mrs Blackstock will be celebrating the pitter patter of little
feet soon which may help heal the loss of her beloved pup.
Soulmate: In October Kelly had tweeted a picture
of Joplin referring to him as her soulmate. Luckily Kelly has her other
soulmate, new husband Brandon Blackstock to console her now Joplin has
passed away

Albert Square isn't exactly the
destination for worldly dances, but that didn't stop the EastEnders cast
showing off their best moves in a live performance for BBC Children In
Need.
And bring a taste of
Bollywood to proceedings were onscreen sisters Jacqueline Jossa and
Lorna Fitzgerald - who play Lauren and Abi Branning - dressed in
bejewelled crop tops and skirts for their part of the dance medley.
Fellow
Brannings, David Witts and Jasmyn Banks joined them for the number,
while other cast members brought a number of different genres to the
table.
The Bollywood Brannings: Jacqueline Jossa, Lorna
Fitzgerald, David Witts and Jasmyn Banks show off their Eastern dance
moves for Children In Need
Vibrant: The Brannings certainly brought a lot of colour to the dance medley on Friday night
The Branning girls: Lauren, Abi and Alice put their drama to one side to perform together for Children In Need
The performance, broadcast live
on Friday night from Albert Square, opened with Letitia Dean (Sharon
Watts) putting Daft Punk's Get Lucky on the jukebox in the Queen Vic,
before stepping outside for a Gatsby-esque quickstep dance with a number
of extras.
Obviously the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant hadn't forgotten her steps from the show.
It then moved onto the local park where Fatboy (Ricky Norwood) and Whitney (Shona McGarty) showed their urban skills with a bit of break-dancing and body-popping.
Supporting cast: The EastEnders stars were backed up by some golden extras for the live performance
Welcome to the gun show: David certainly put his muscular arms to good use during the routine
It started with a drink: Sharon Watts (Letitia
Dean) turns the jukebox on in the Queen Vic to start playing Daft Punk's
Get lucky
Cool moves: Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Letitia has still got the moves
Bianca Butcher's new boyfriend Terry Spraggan - played by Terry Alderton - also showed his skills next to the kids along with Masood Ahmed (aka Nitin Ganatra) next week following a whirlwind romance between the pair
That's
when the Bollywood Brannings showed their stuff with a few extras in
gold, before Phaldut Sharma showed off his professional training in
rhythm tap dancing with a solo in front of one of the many houses
overlooking Albert Square.
Go on Terry: Bianca's boyfriend proves he can get down with the kids too
Urban flair: Shona McGarty and her crew did a bit of breakdancing and body-popping
Rhythm king: Phaldut Sharma showed off his professional training in tap dancing with a solo
Tango: Janine Butcher and Danny Pennant - AKA Charlie Brooks and Gary Lucy - brought the sex appeal
Next up Kat Slater and Alfie Moon -
Jessie Wallace and Shane Ritchie - put their love triangle drama to one
side to perform what looked like an American Smooth in front of the
Queen Vic, and luckily Roxy Mitchell was nowhere to be seen.
Following
on from Jessie - who also appeared in Strictly Come Dancing in 2008 -
was Charlie Brooks and Gary Lucy as Janine Butcher and Danny Pennant,
performing the Tango.
Then all the cast gathered together for a final freestyle dance to finish off the live performance
