There was no doubt that Mrs Peter Crouch left her underwear at home as the sheer panels revealed the results of her hard grafting for the show.
The daring dress was designed specifically for the Fashion for The Brave event by her fellow Strictly Come Dancing contestant Julien MacDonald.
Brave choice: Abbey Clancy dared to bare in a
sheer panelled number at the Fashion for the Brave event at The
Dorchester on Friday
The ultra-revealing creation has
nothing on Abbey’s Strictly costumes, featuring sequinned front and back
decorated with tiny Union Flags and see-through sides. The glitzy dress turned heads and set photographers’ cameras a-flashing outside the event at London’s Dorchester hotel, expected to be attended by its patron HRH Princess Beatrice.
Abbey, 27, was even forced to hold on to the back of the dress as she moved in front of the lenses when it threatened to reveal a little bit more than she had planned.
The Liverpool-born model and her dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec are hot favourites to win this year's edition of the show after a string of dazzling performances.
One for the boys: Abbey's dress is a creation by
Julien MacDonald, done especially for the event to support British
troops at war
Commander: As Abbey posed on the steps of the
famous London hotel there was no doubt that her choice of underwear was
'none at all'
Flying the flag: The sparkly number feature two full length Union Flag panels covering the essentials, with see-through sides
Statuesque: Going with the theme of the dress,
Abbey went for nude heels and lips as she modelled the creation on
Friday afternoon
Run for cover: Abbey's pouty poses were soon
replaced with a surprised face when a sudden movement threatened to
reveal more than she intended
keeping things in place: The Strictly Come
Dancing contestant had to hold on tight to her back as she made moves in
the unforgiving dress
But
it has not all been plain sailing for the pair who had to battle it out
in the dance off that saw Countdown host Rachel Riley eliminated from
the competition.Abbey added: ‘I was upset more than anything. You think getting high scores from the judges would mean you're safe.
‘It just goes to show that you're not and to go up against Rachel who has been my best friend on the programme was just horrendous. I hated it, it was really horrible.
‘I couldn't help feeling a bit low the next day and I was wondering what I had done wrong.'
Alright for some: The dress proved an
opportunity for the Strictly Come Dancing-star to show off the results
of her efforts on the dancefloor
Make a patriotic style statement with Union Jack prints
Abbey might have been showing her support for
the British Troops, but she certainly didn't have any support in the
underwear department.
The Strictly Come Dancing star attended Fashion for the Brave party, wearing a Union Jack dress with daring sheer panels by Julien MacDonald.
We bet this brings a tear to Geri Halliwell's eye.
While she might have been wearing a dress which showed more skin than it covered, all those gym trips have definitely paid off for Abbey - we've seen more fat on a chip.
Unfortunately for all you exhibitionists out there, Abbey's dress was custom made for the event and not available to buy. However there are a plethora of other Union Jack gems available to buy which will show your support, from Aspinal of London's clutch, to Hunter's wellies and Alexander McQueen's scarf. And Vivienne Westwood's blow out dress.
Wear your flag with pride and pop on a poppy to show your respect for our great British Troops this Remembrance Sunday.

Fun and games: Abbey shares a giggle with dress designer Julien in the hotel lobby
‘I've never done any dance training but Aljaz is just the most amazing teacher so I'm very lucky.’
The Fashion for the Brave event is held to honour and support British Troops.
An auction will also be held at the glamorous event to raise money for the charities.
This year Fashion for The Brave Gala is supporting the Household Cavalry Foundation and Soldiering On.
