There was little evidence of Tamara Ecclestone’s growing baby bulge on Friday evening when she stepped out for a night at the theatre with husband Jay Rutland.
The 29-year-old heiress is expecting her first child with the former Pacific Continental broker in around six months’ time, but the bump that was so discernible during their recent trip to Abu Dhabi was well covered as a car dropped them off outside London’s Adelphi Theatre.
Indeed, Tamara was sporting a smart forest green dress, the cut of which afforded the notoriously private daughter of F1 boss Bernie a degree of concealment as she sashayed across the pavement.

The socialite completed a rather subdued look with black tights and embellished ankle boots, while her subtle collection of accessories – a black leather handbag and tasteful watch – served to compliment the overall ensemble.
Strolling by her side a very protective Jay looked dapper in a dark blue three-piece suit and striped dress shirt that was afforded a casual flourish by his decision to eschew the tie.
With his mid-length hair, even tan and rash of designer stubble the 31-year-old exuded a vaguely continental air for a night on the very uncontinental Strand with his pregnant wife.

The couple were stepping out for a performance of The Bodyguard – a theatrical adaptation of the 1992 film starring Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston.
With Casualty star Tristan Gemmill taking Costner’s role as lovelorn bodyguard Frank Farmer and songstress Beverly Knight filling the late Ms. Houston’s shoes as fictional superstar Rachel Marron, the play has won generally positive reviews.
Settling into their seats on Friday evening, Tamara and Jay would have been treated to an array of hits from the soul singer’s back catalogue – amongst them So Emotional, Saving All My Love For You, I Have Nothing and the film’s smash-hit signature theme, I Will Always Love You.

The pair officially confirmed their imminent parenthood in October, and Tamara recently admitted exclusively to MailOnline that she desperately wanted to find out the sex of her unborn child before giving birth.
'I’m definitely going to find out the sex! I need to know, I need to plan,’ she said. ‘It’s nice to have a surprise, but I couldn’t cope with not knowing for the next six months!'
Tamara and Jay married on the French Riviera in June, four months after they announced their engagement.
The lavish wedding ceremony reportedly cost £7 million.
