She was no doubt very happy with her appearance when she took a final look in the mirror before leaving home.
But what Rose Byrne, and her make-up artist, didn’t account for was the bright camera flashes, which any star knows shows up all flaws and faux-pas.
And unfortunately for the 34-year-old it revealed that she had gone rather OTT with the under-eye concealer, making it appear like she was wearing a white eye-mask when she attended the 23rd Annual Glamour Women Of The Year Awards on Monday in New York City.

malfunction at the Glamour 23rd Annual Women of the Year Awards in New
York on Monday
While posing for pictures inside the venue the actress looked almost picture perfect, however it was when she stepped outside and the flashes began that her eye make-up disaster could be seen.
It seems the Australian actress was trying to conceal any signs of dark circles beneath her eyes but she, or her make-up artist, managed to pick the wrong colour for her warm skin tone.
The make-up artist didn’t get it completely wrong though, as Rose also wore a matte deep rose lipstick which accentuated her natural pout.
Flash faux pas: It was when the camera flashes went off that the concealer under Rose's eyes could be seen
Not so obvious: The actress's eye make-up wasn't so obvious when she posed inside the awards
Despite the lovely lippy and the fact she was wearing an eye-catching strapless red dress that showcased her slender arms and elegant shoulders, it was her white eyes which stood out.
The Damages star completed her look with red velvet heels, while her recently dyed dark blonde hair fell in curls around her shoulders.
Meanwhile Rose has been linked to Brother’s Keeper, an indie film from the producer behind Lost In Translation.
