The 42-year-old admits that she's getting a thrill from dressing-up and getting into character on the dancing show but she admits it's not her usual style.
So when the news presenter left the BBC studios in Manchester on Tuesday morning, she looked like she was more than content to be back to her natural best.

The mum-of-three wore a pair of jeans, a bright orange shirt, coupled with a faux fur-lined aviator jacket and she threw on a pretty butterfly print scarf over the top.
She carried a silver bag which presumably had her Strictly training gear in it as she was heading to Blackpool for a day trip with her professional dance partner, Kevin Clifton.
And in a nod to her inner minx, she wore a pair of high nude peep-toe heels.

In an interview with The Sun, Susanna revealed she was having a riot on the BBC show.
She said: 'The whole idea is just to provide pleasure and it's a glorious thing to be involved in. I don't have a problem letting my hair down.
'I love the fact that on Strictly I can play a different character and throw myself into the dance. I enjoy getting into the character.'

Susanna and Kevin have consistently impressed with their sexy routines on the show and came second this week with their sultry waltz.
The pair are the fifth favourite to win the show with odds of 9/1 but that doesn't mean Susanna, or her boyfriend of 15 years, Dominic Cotton, can understand why she's perceived as being so sexy.
She said: 'My partner thinks it's hilarious. If people saw me first thing in the morning, they'd think again.'

Earlier today, Susanna Tweeted that she's heading to Blackpool with Kevin Clifton ahead of next week's Strictly which will be held at Blackpool Tower's Ballroom.
She uploaded a picture of the beach and wrote: 'Glorious weather for a day trip to Blackpool with @keviclifton. Looks like Brucie's left his mark. #strictly'
